The Royalton Town Clerk's Office is now an authorized retailer for E-ZPass On-The-Go tags.
The cost of the prepackaged E-ZPass tag is $25.00.
- Once you purchase the tag, you will register it by visiting www.e-zpassny.com or you may call 1-800-697-1554.
- You must register the tag before using it. Once the tag is registered, the full $25 will be moved to your E-Z Pass account.
- Mount the tag in your vehicle to start saving 5% on Thruway tolls. Be sure to follow instructions included on how and where to mount the tag.

How Do I put more money on the tag after I use the initial $25.00?
When you register your tag, you will be prompted to select either an automatic credit card replenishment or a check or cash replenishment.
Where can I use E-ZPass?
There are 15 states, including NY, in the E-ZPass network, consult your E-ZPass brochure.
When can I use my E-ZPass?
You must register your E-ZPass On-the-Go Tag either online or by phone before using it. It depends on the time of day you register your Tag, but generally Tags are available for use next day. Upon registration, you will be notified exactly when your Tag will be activated on the Thruway and other roadways.

Will I get an E-ZPass statement?
Yes, your statement will detail all trips by date, location, toll amounts, as well as any payments made.
On-the-Go Tags are for 2-axle, 4 tire vehicles only. There are no returns on tags.
